Ponca Tribe hires firm to develop casino

The Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma has hired Sunway-Postoak Advisory Inc., an Indian-owned firm, to develop, design and build a casino. Sunway-Postoak Advisory is owned by Wayne Postoak, a member of the Choctaw Nation. Postoak is a former coach and athletics director at Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas. “I’m feeling pretty good about this,” Postoak told The Lawrence Journal-World. Postoak said he has three other tribal projects in the works. The $60 million Ponca Fancy Dance Casino will feature a 100-room hotel, a 50,000-square-foot casino and a 20,000-square-foot events center. Get the Story:
