The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation is making “across the board" cuts at the Foxwoods Resort Casino.
More than 700 employees are being laid off due to declining revenues and the downturn in the economy. The tribe says employees can apply for vacant jobs but no numbers on those positions have been released.
To deal with the cuts, the state will ask the Department of Labor for a grant to help affected workers.
