The Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians in California is moving closer to opening its first casino.
The tribe placed the final beam for the Foothill Oaks Casino earlier this week. "This is a dream long in the making for the tribe," Chairman Nick Fonseca said.
The casino is set to open this fall. It features 2,000 slot machines table games, six restaurants and four bars.
