Eastern Shawnee Tribe eyes new casino site in Ohio

The Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma hasn't given up efforts to open a casino in Ohio.

The tribe has resumed negotiations with the city of Monroe to build a casino there. A new 123-acre site has been chosen for potential development.

The tribe filed a land claim for 93,000 acres in western Ohio in hopes of settling for gaming rights. A federal judge dismissed the case in July 2007.
