Quechan president mum on casino financing

Quechan Nation President Mike Jackson won't say whether the tribe has secured financing to complete a $125 million casino expansion.

Work at the Quechan Casino Resort near Yuma, Arizona, is about 60 percent complete. The tribe needs $25 million to finish the project but financing has been hard to find due to the tight economy.

Jackson had said the tribe would secure financing by October 10 but told The Yuma Sun he wouldn't comment on the issue when contacted yesterday.
