Opinion: Vote against tribal casino supporters

"The voters in the city of Plymouth will once again have the opportunity on Nov. 4 to express their desires on the tribal casino proposed for Plymouth. Depending on how you count, this will be at least the third referendum on this matter over the past five years. In each case Plymouth voters have soundly rejected the idea of a mega casino in their small town.

The current cast of candidates present a clear choice on which way Plymouth should proceed on the matter of the proposed casino.

On Nov. 4, Plymouth voters have a choice. They can re-elect three hard working incumbents who will oppose the proposed casino development or they can elect three casino development supporters, in which case Plymouth will most certainly have casino construction underway in the near future. The choice is very clear and I am confident that Plymouth voters will once again reject those candidates who support a casino development that would ultimately become an unmitigated disaster for our community."
