Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe delays casino debut

The Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe of Washington has delayed the opening of a new casino.

The $4 million, 7,000 square-foot building was supposed to open by Christmas. But electrical problems have delayed its debut to mid- or late-January.

The tribe is using the facility to test the gaming market. A bigger casino could be in the works if the effort is successful.
