Racetrack owner calls Indian gaming 'disgusting'

The owner of a non-Indian racetrack in Alabama supports gaming -- but not for the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.

Milton McGregor of Victoryland says the tribe receives special treatment. "What makes it even more disgusting to me than anything is that you have Native Americans who have the same thing that we have in Montgomery, the same thing at Greenetrack, and they don't pay any city, county of state taxes," he tells CBS 42 News.

PCI Gaming operates three casinos on tribal land. Revenues are used to fund government programs and to pay for services to tribal members.

"The tribal government offers much of the same services as any municipality, education, healthcare, infrastructure, economic development, the whole gamut," Chairman Arthur Mothershed says.

"We provide good jobs. We've got full benefits. We've been very well received and we are providing jobs. Our payroll is $48,000,000," adds Jay Dorris, the president of PCI Gaming.
