Saginaw Chippewa Tribe sees drop in revenues

The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan saw a $5.235 million drop in net slot machine winnings over the last six months.

"It wasn't unexpected," Michael Johnson, the tribe's chief financial officer, told The Bay City Times.

The drop carried over to the revenues the tribe shares with the community. The tribe distributed $632,804 in grants on Friday, a $104,696 decline from the ones made in November 2008.

The money came from the Saganing Eagles Landing Casino, the tribe's newest gaming facility.
