Soo Tribe's commercial casino seeks $46M in loans

The commercial casino that is majority owned by the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Michigan is seeking approval for $46 million in loans.

Greektown Casino, says it will use the money to pay construction costs related to a 400-room hotel that is expected to open next week. Without the loans, construction might stop, according to documents filed in bankruptcy court.

The casino entered Chapter 11 proceedings last year. The latest court documents can be found at Turtle Talk.
