Connecticut tribes not happy with slot revenues

Connecticut's two federally recognized tribes don't seem to be making any ground in reversing their decline in slot machine revenues.

Slot revenues at Foxwoods Resort Casino and MGM Grand at Foxwoods were down 8.8 percent last month. They fell 9.1 percent at Mohegan Sun.

“We’re doing all the right things. But our hands are tied. We need to see the public feel better about the economy,” Mohegan Sun CEO Mitchell Etess sad, The New London Day reported.

Both the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and the Mohegan Tribe said people are still coming to their casinos but they are spending less.
