Stillaguamish Tribe caters to local gamblers

The Stillaguamish Tribe of Washington caters to a local crowd at its expanded casino.

The tribe spent $44 million to add more space, amenities and slot machines to the Angel of the Winds Casino. Visits have increased by about 30 percent since December 2008 despite the downturn in the national economy, said manager Travis O’Neil.

"It’s been a positive experience for the casino," O’Neil told The Everett Herald.

The casino employs 570 people.
