Ernie Stevens Jr., the chairman of the National Indian Gaming Association, will deliver the final keynote of the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas next week. Stevens, a member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, will be joined by federal and tribal officials as they discuss a wide range of Indian gaming issues. Participants include Gay Kingman, the executive director of the Great Plains Tribal Chairman’s Association, Kevin Leecy, the chairman of the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa of Minnesota; Mark A. Macarro, the chairman of the Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians of California; Stuart Paisano, a council member for Sandia Pueblo in New Mexico; and George Skibine, the acting chairman of the National Indian Gaming Commission. G2E takes places Monday, November 16, through Thursday, November 19, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Indian Gaming Track features sessions on financing for tribal gaming facilities, President Barack Obama and his administration, tribal jurisdiction and tribal-state gaming compacts.
