Gun Lake Tribe on track to open $157M casino in summer

The Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Potawatomi Indians, also known as the Gun Lake Tribe, began construction on a $157 million casino.

The 83,000-square-foot Gun Lake Casino is located off a major interstate in Wayland Township, Michigan. The facility is expected to open by the end of the summer.

"It depends on the weather for the next few months, but we’re moving forward as planned," spokesperson James Nye told The Kalamazoo Gazette.

The casino will feature 1,200 slot machines, 36 table games, restaurants and other amenities.
