The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut reported another drop in slot machine revenues at Mohegan Sun but executive saw signs of improvement.

Slot revenues fell 3.9 percent in the last quarter, compared to the same period in 2009. But that was better than the 8.1 percent drop in the previous quarter and better than the 10.4 percent drop prior to that.

"It pains me to say that this is a positive sign," Mitchell Etess, THE CEO of the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, said on a conference call, The Norwich Bulletin reported. "It’s headed toward a flattening, which I hope will be followed by increases."

The tribe's slot machine facility in Pennsylvania, the Mohegan Sun Pocono Downs, saw a growth in revenues.
