Senate confirmation hearing for Tracie Stevens to run NIGC


The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will hold a confirmation hearing tomorrow for Tracie Stevens to be chairman of the National Indian Gaming Commission.

The hearing takes place at 10am in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building. The witness list follows:
Tracie L. Stevens, nominee

Brian Cladoosby, Chairman of the Swinomish Tribe of Washington and President of the Affilliated Tribe of the Northwest Indians

Stevens is a member of the Tulalip Tribes of Washington. If confirmed by the Senate, she will be the first woman to run the agency that regulates the $27 billion Indian gaming industry.
