Gaming mogul Steve Wynn drops hotel from casino bid

Gaming mogul Steve Wynn says he's dropping plans for a hotel at the long-delayed Foxwoods Casino Philadelphia in Pennsylvania.

Wynn agreed to be the lead manager for the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation project. His involvement is subject to the approval of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, where he will testify next Wednesday.

The tribe had planned to be the lead manager and operator for the casino but shifted its strategy amid declining revenues and financial issues at its facilities in Connecticut.
