Barona Band shares casino rewards with Vegas properties

The Barona Band of Mission Indians of California will share gaming rewards with two Las Vegas properties.

Gamblers who earn points at the Barona Resort & Casino will able to use them at The Venetian and The Palazzo on the Vegas strip, and vice versa. “Our frequent casino guests occasionally want the Las Vegas experience and their gamblers occasionally want the San Diego experience,” said Barona general manager Rick Salinas told The San Diego Union-Tribune.

The arrangement is believed to be the first of its kind for a tribe in California although the casino owned by the Rincon Band of Luiseno Indians is part of the larger Harrah’s Entertainment family.
