Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe asks town for casino deal documents

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe paid more than $3,000 to the town of Middleboro, Massachusetts, for documents about a failed casino deal.

In August 2007, the tribe entered into an agreement to build a casino in the town. But after changing gaming partners, the tribe has moved to a new gaming site.

That didn't stop the tribe from seeking to make public all the documents related to the Middleboro deal. Anyone can go and look at the information in the town offices.
