City continues negotiations over Guidiville Band casino

The city council in Richmond, California, continues to negotiate with the developers of a casino for the Guidiville Band of Pomo Indians.

The city plans to sell the old Point Molate Naval Fuel Depot for $50 million. The closing date has been extended to April 20, The Contra Costa Times reported.

The tribe plans to open a $1.2 billion casino at the Point Molate. The Bureau of Indian Affairs has released a draft environmental impact statement and environmental impact report for the project.

The Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation is an investor in the casino.
