Nooksack Tribe settles lawsuit over $26M gaming debt

The Nooksack Tribe of Washington reached a settlement over a $26 million casino debt.

The tribe owed Marshall Bank of Minnesota for construction and equipment at the Nooksack Northwood Casino. The bank, which has since been shut down, said the tribe was behind on more than $1.2 million in interest and late fees.

Chairman Narz Cunanan said the tribe negotiated new terms for the loan, although details were not released.
