Dry Creek Pomo Band sees small jump in casino revenue

The Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians of California saw a 1 percent increase in gaming revenues in the last quarter.

Net revenues at River Rock Casino were $31.8 million for the fourth quarter of 2009, up from the $31.4 million for the same period in 2008 This is the first quarterly gain in the last three years.

"It represents the first time in the last 12 quarters that we were able to report a higher revenue number over the prior year period," acting CEO Joseph Callahan said in a conference call, The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reported.

The tribe scrapped a major expansion of the casino amid the national recession but recently completed $5.5 million in renovations at the facility.
