Democratic candidate supports reopening of Tigua casino

A Democratic candidate for the Texas Legislature supports the gaming rights of the Tigua Tribe.

If elected, Naomi Gonzalez said she will work to reopen the tribe's shuttered casino. Federal law prevents the tribe engaging in gaming unless there is a change in state law.

Gonzalez is challenging Rep. Norma Chavez for the Democratic nomination. Chavez has worked to change state law to allow the tribe to reopen the casino.
