Arizona tribes report 3.5 percent drop in gaming revenues

Tribal gaming revenues fell 3.5 percent in the last quarter, Arizona Department of Gaming reported.

Tribes shared $21.3 million with the state in the quarter that ended March 31, 2010. That's down from $22.1 million for same quarter in 2009.

However, the $21.3 million is up from the $11.1 million that tribes shared in the quarter that ended December 31, 2009.

Under the tribal-gaming compact, tribes share between 1 to 8 percent of Class III revenues with the state.
