Spokesperson for Morongo Band's Internet poker group joins rival

The California Online Poker Association, a group led by the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, has lost its spokesperson to a rival Internet gambling group.

Patrick Dorinson was helping the tribe with efforts to legalize Internet poker in California. Now he's going to be working as the executive director of Poker Voters of America, which has proposed a rival bill for online gambling.

The Morongo Band says 21 tribes are part of the California Online Poker Association. Some non-Indian card clubs are also involved.
