Gun Lake Tribe readies for grand opening of first casino on Friday

The Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Potawatomi Indians of Michigan, also known as the Gun Lake Tribe, opens its first casino tomorrow.

The $157 million Gun Lake Casino is a 76,000 square-foot facility with 1,400 slot machines, 28 table games, a restaurant, food court, lounge and gift shop. It's the state's 23rd gaming facility.

'Our mantra is: Something for everybody," an assistant general manager told The Grand Rapids Press.

About 1,500 special guests got a sneak preview of the casino yesterday. It officially opens at 12:01am tomorrow.
