Mississippi Choctaws give $10K in revenues from new casino

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians donated $10,000 in gaming revenues from its new casino.

The tribe opened the Bok Homa Casino last December. The facility is near Heidelberg, the town that received the donation.

"With some Bok Homa employees and patrons either living in Heidelberg or in the nearby areas, we felt this donation aligned with the Tribe’s and Resort’s belief in being good neighbor," general manager Bryce Warren told The Laurel Leader-Call.

The tribe has said the $18 million facility has already paid for itself.
