Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe hosts open house for casino plans



The Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe of Washington hosted an open house on Wednesday to explain its casino expansion plans.

The new Point Casino will be 52,000 square-feet, replacing a 20,000 square-foot structure. It will include an event center.

"It's a really big investment the tribe has made, and we're excited to see if come to fruition," Chairman Jeromy Sullivan said at the open house, The Kitsap Sun reported. "We really do work hard at stretching every dollar and providing advancements for our community."

The tribe expects to complete the facility in the first half of 2012.
