The Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians, also known as the Gun Lake Tribe, shared more than $7.8 million in gaming revenues with state and local governments in Michigan.

The Gun Lake Casino debuted in February. So far this year, the tribe has contributed $10.37 million to the state and the local community.

“The substantial revenue figures are possible because of the dedication of our team members and outstanding performance of our management team,” Chairman D.K. Sprague said in a press release. “We thank them for helping the Tribe make a contribution to improve the lives of our tribal citizens, and neighbors here in West Michigan.”

Under the Class III gaming compact, the tribe shares 2 percent of the net win from electronic gaming devices with local governments. The state's share is based on a sliding scale between 8 and 12 percent, depending on revenue.
