Mohegan Tribe to discuss details of Massachusetts casino plan

The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut plans to meet with the town council in Palmer, Massachusetts, to discuss its proposed casino.

If commercial casinos are legalized in Massachusetts, the tribe hopes to build one in Palmer, in the western part of the state. The town council voted to request a meeting with the tribe to discuss financing and other issues.

“We certainly believe in open communications and we certainly appreciate the invitation,” Chuck Bunnell, the tribe's chief of staff, told The Norwich Bulletin.
