Both Connecticut tribes report declines in slot machine revenue

Connecticut's two federally recognized tribes reported declines in their slot machine revenues for the month of July.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation saw its win drop 5.5 percent from July 2010. The Mohegan Tribe saw its win drop 5 percent.

Despite the declines, executives from both tribes said they were pleased with the results. The Pequots said other aspects of its gaming enterprise improve while the Mohegans highlighted a 150.9 percent increase in net income during its third quarter.
