Wisconsin tribes no longer talking about off-reservation casino bid

It looks like three Wisconsin tribes won't be working together on an off-reservation casino.

The St. Croix Band, the Bad River Band and the Ho-Chunk Nation were thinking about collaborating on a casino in Beloit. But representatives of two the tribes confirmed that they are no longer talking.

However, the St. Croix Band and the Bad River Band are likely to continue pursuing their joint casino, a spokesperson said. The two tribes have options on 40 acres in Beloit.

And the Ho-Chunk Nation is definitely interested in Beloit, a spokesperson said. The tribe purchased 26 acres next to the St. Croix/Bad River site.
