Santa Ysabel Band reports theft of cash from small casino

Authorities are investigating the theft of cash from the casino owned by the Santa Ysabel Band of Mission Indians in California.

Exact figures weren't reported. But one law enforcement source told The San Diego Union-Tribune that at least $100,000 was taken from the Santa Ysabel Casino.

“It was well thought out. They couldn’t have gotten in there without some planning and intelligence work, but it was very low key," San Diego County Sheriff’s Sgt. Thomas Evans told the paper.

The casino houses 349 slot machines and is the smallest in the county.
