Ho-Chunk Nation negotiates off-reservation casino agreement

The Ho-Chunk Nation is negotiating an agreement for an off-reservation casino in Beloit, Wisconsin, WISC-TV reports.

The tribe purchased 32 acres in the city for potential development. More information about a deal is expected within a week.

"We've had some discussions with the Ho-Chunk Nation. We've had quite a few meetings and some very productive, I think, sessions in terms of the possibility of them moving forward with a casino project," City Manager Larry Arft told WISC.

The Ho-Chunk Nation property is the same site where two other tribes sought to build an off-reservation casino.
