Warm Springs Tribes plan to open new casino on February 4

The Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation in Oregon will open a new casino on February 4.

The $13.5 million Indian Head Casino features 500 slot machines and eight blackjack tables. The 40,000-square-foot facility also offers a restaurant, gift shop and deli.

The tribe closed its existing Kah-Nee-Ta Resort & Casino in order to open the new facility, which is near a major interstate. Officials hope the location will generate more revenues.

The tribe still hopes to build an off-reservation casino in the Columbia Gorge.
