Creek Nation council opposes Kialegee Tribal Town casino

The Muscogee Nation council passed a resolution in opposition to the casino being built by the Kialegee Tribal Town.

The Muscogee Nation claims jurisdiction over the gaming site, which is an Indian allotment owned by two Creek sisters. The Muscogees say the Kialegees can't open the casino without their consent.

The proposed Red Clay Casino has come under heavy fire in Oklahoma. Local officials and politicians are trying to get the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the National Indian Gaming Commission to block the facility.
