Town sets June 2 election for Aquinnah Wampanoag casino

Voters in Lakeville, Massachusetts, will go to the polls on June 20 to decide whether they want to a host a casino for the Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe.

Lakeville is one of three places where the tribe is considering a casino. H.3702, the state's gaming law, requires approval by a host community.

Freetown has scheduled a May 29 election. The city of Fall River, another potential casino location, hasn't set a date.
