City council opposes Graton Rancheria's gaming compact

The city council in Petaluma, California, voted 6-0 to oppose a Class III gaming compact with the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria.

The deal requires the tribe to negotiate agreements with local governments to offset the impacts of the casino. But officials in Petaluma don't believe their concerns will be addressed.

The tribe plans to build a $433 million casino.
