Gaming compact for Graton Rancheria ready for BIA approval

The California Assembly voted 64-3 on Thursday to approve on a Class III gaming compact for the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria.

The compact already cleared the Senate. Now it can be sent to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for final review.

The tribe and its developer need to raise more than $700 million to build the casino. Construction could start this summer.
