Connecticut tribes acknowledge bad month for slot machines

April 2012 was a bad month for Connecticut's two federally recognized tribes, gaming executives said.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation reported a 13.4 percent drop in slot machine win. The Mohegan Tribe saw a 10.9 percent decline.

“We’re not happy; it was a tough month,” Mohegan Sun President and CEO Jeff Hartmann told The Norwich Bulletin.

The last time both tribes saw gains in slot machine revenue was December, the paper said.
