Nottawaseppi Huron Band worried about non-Indian gaming bid

The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians will host a meeting tomorrow to discuss a ballot initiative that would expand non-Indian gaming.

The initiative authorizes up to eight casinos. The tribe says it also strips away the right of each community to decide whether to accept gaming.

Spokespeople for Protect MI Vote, a group opposed to the initiative, will take part in tomorrow's meeting.
