Quapaw Tribe creates more jobs for $50M expansion at its casino

The Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma is creating about 440 jobs with a $50 million expansion of its casino.

Construction of a new hotel tower at the Downstream Resort Casino will generate 400 jobs. The tribe will hire 40 people to staff the facility once it's finished later this year.

“We have a strong economic impact in this region,” spokesperson Sean Harrison told The Oklahoman.

The facility is located in Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas. The gaming portion is located on trust land on the Oklahoma side.
