Paxton Myers departs as NIGC chief of staff after two years

Paxton Myers is leaving the National Indian Gaming Commission after two years as its chief of staff.

Myers, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians of North Carolina, joined the NIGC in August 2010. He's leaving to serve as vice president of marketing at the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino and Resort.

“I am pleased that we were able to fill this position with a Tribal member who brings valuable and varied experience to casino marketing, VIP player development, as well as gaming regulations," said Scott Barber, the Harrah's president for the Mid-South, The Cherokee One Feather reported.
