Mohegan Tribe to pay up to $10M in severance for gaming jobs

The
Mohegan Tribe
of Connecticut is eliminating 328 gaming positions in a move that will cost up to $10 million.
In a regulatory filing, the
Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority
announced the job cuts at the
Mohegan Sun
. Severance payments will cost between $8 million and $10 million, the tribe said.
In addition to the layoffs, the tribe fired CEO Jeffrey Hartmann and replaced him with an executive from its commercial gaming facility in Pennsylvania.
