Mohegan Tribe offers few details on Massachusetts casino bid

The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut has shared few details about its proposed commercial casino in western Massachusetts.

The tribe has a location for the Mohegan Sun Palmer and has vowed to spend nearly $800 million on the project. But additional information won't be released until the town nears a referendum on the casino.

"They've been courting us all these years – let's get a prenup," town president Philip J. Hebert said a council meeting, The Springfield Republican reported.

Other bidders for the western Massachusetts casino include Hard Rock International, which is owned by the Seminole Tribe, MGM Resorts and Penn National Gaming.
