Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe considers Class III gaming deal

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe will hold a special council meeting tomorrow to consider a Class III gaming compact with the state of Massachusetts.

The tribe's first compact was rejected by the Bureau of Indian Affairs due to a high revenue-sharing rate. A new deal has been reached with Gov. Deval Patrick (D).

The agreement must be approved by state lawmakers before it goes to the BIA again.
