Eastern Shoshone Tribe planning $38M expansion at casino

The Eastern Shoshone Tribe of Wyoming is planning a $38 million expansion of its casino.

The tribe will add 165,000 square-feet to the Shoshone Rose Casino, The Riverton Ranger reports. Plans call for a 100-room hotel, an indoor water park, a convention center or entertainment facility with seating for 750, up to three restaurants and other amenities.

"The entire state is part of our market," council member Wes Martel told the paper. "The feasibility study they performed indicates that we got the revenue and the market to pay this back."

The tribe is soliciting bids for construction. The expansion could open in June 2014.
