Connecticut tribes could see cut of Keno revenue from state

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and the Mohegan Tribe could share revenues from Keno games in Connecticut, The Norwich Bulletin reports.

The state budget anticipates 12.5 percent of Keno revenue going to the tribes, the paper said. Negotiations are ongoing.

The tribes were guaranteed exclusivity for Class III games under their compacts with the state. They share 25 percent of slot machine revenues in exchange for those rights.

The introduction of Keno in the state would affect the exclusivity provisions.
