Wayland Gray, a member of the Muscogee Nation of Oklahoma, was found guilty in connection with a protest at the casino owned by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians in Alabama. Gray was convicted of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. He was arrested in February while protesting the $246 million expansion of the Wind Creek Wetumpka. The Poarch Band is expanding the casino atop Hickory Ground, a historic and sacred burial site. Gray was told to stay away from the property but he is planning an appeal. Get the Story:
