Tribes in Connecticut report declines in slot machine revenues

Connecticut's two federally recognized tribes reported declines in their slot machine revenues for the month of September 2013.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation saw a 3.2 percent decline, compared to September 2012. The Mohegan Tribe saw a bigger drop -- 8.8 percent.

September marked the end of the fiscal year for both tribes. Cumulatively, the Mashantuckets saw a 9.8 percent decline in slot revenues for the year while the Mohegans saw an 8.4 percent decline.
